Golf tournaments have long been recognized as excellent networking opportunities and The Conference Publishers Charity Golf Tournament in support of The Canadian AIDS Society is one of the best. Building on last year's success, you can join pharmaceutical companies, health care professionals from many different fields, business people from Canada's top companies, hospitality industry representatives, politicians from all three levels of government, meeting planners, charitable foundations, AIDS Service Organizations and others for a fun day of golf and food at the Fairmont Le Chateau Montebello Golf Club.

Registered as a charity since 1988, the Canadian AIDS Society (CAS) is a national coalition of over 125 community-based AIDS organizations across Canada. CAS is dedicated to strengthening the response to HIV/AIDS across all sectors of society, and to enriching the lives of people and communities living with HIV/AIDS. The second annual charity golf tournament is support of the Canadian AIDS Society is designed to ensure everyone has the greatest opportunity to meet, greet, and play.

This year's course is Fairmont Le Château Montebello Golf Club. Known for its fascinating history, this famous course is recognized today for its exciting and challenging course layout. Designed by Stanley Thompson in 1929, the Montebello Golf course is amongst the best public courses in Quebec. The course is also designated as a Certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary since 1998.

The wonderful Montebello golf course winds tightly through graceful forests and features dramatic elevation changes, captivating the imagination of golfers from all over the world. Some of its elevated tees provide lovely views of the gentle rolls of the surrounding Laurentians.

Golfers of all skill levels are invited to join us on Tuesday, August 31, 2010 for this fun, best-ball tournament. Registration opens at 10:00am with a shotgun start at 11:00am. During the day, gold level sponsored holes will have a fun activity designed to promote the sponsor and entertain the golfer, while not slowing down play. As the golfers come off the course they will be treated to a dynamic après-golf reception and prize presentation.

To create a unique event for the golfers and sponsors, the après-golf reception will offer a number of food and drink stations with a wide variety of hors d'oeuvres and food samplers. This stand-up format of a reception will encourage mingling and networking between the golfers and sponsors. Announcements and prizes will be done throughout the afternoon during the reception.
