Passions: My wife and daughter, golf, getting together with friends and neighbours (usually accompanied by copious amounts of home-made wine), home renovations. Did I mention golf and wine? Both items should definitely be up there.

Proud moment: After 20 years of marriage, my family is a continuous source of pride. But I have to sheepishly admit that when I finish some home renovation project such as tiling a bathroom or building a deck, I am pretty proud, even if a tradesperson would laugh at the workmanship. Or when I hit a 250 yard drive right down the middle of the fairway. (Okay, I did it once....)

Favourite quote: "Daddy, you are the bestest dad in the whole world."—Neisha Horsfield
